To provide a method capable of manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor having uniform film thickness by using a holding fixture which can satisfactorily hold an endless belt base substance and the holding fixture with satisfactory adhesion and facilitates attachment and detachment of the endless belt base substance to and from the holding fixture.

In the method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising holding the endless belt base substance with the cylindrical holding fixture from the inner side and subjecting the external surface of the endless belt base substance to spray application, the cylindrical holding fixture mounts endless belt base substance 7 from at least one end divided by at least one notch or clearance in an axial direction, then resets the same to the original position, thereby holding the endless belt base substance 7.
