PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrostatic capacity type operation device capable of suppressing entrance of air bubbles between a detection electrode and an operated part.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrostatic capacity type operation device has: a process of preparing a member containing a base film, a detection electrode (22) formed on the base film, a cover film, and an adhesive layer (25) as an electrostatic capacity detection member (20); a process of preparing a panel whose recess (12) has a shape of overlapping with an outer edge of the detection electrode (22) for a lamination direction between an operation panel (10) and the electrostatic capacity detection member (20) as the operation panel (10); a process of oppositely arranging the operation panel (10) and the electrostatic capacity detection member (20); and an adhesion process of adhering both of the electrostatic capacity detection member (20) and the operation panel (10) by pressing the electrostatic capacity detection member (20) to the rear face (10b) of the operation panel, and in the adhesion process, both are adhered to each other while directing gas between the electrostatic capacity detection member (20) and the operation panel (10) toward the recess (12).
