Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing toner having excellent charging property (in particular, environmental stability).
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrostatic charge image developing toner includes a step of removing the solvent from a water-based suspension liquid (I) comprising a resin, organic solvent and calcium-based inorganic dispersant to obtain an aqueous liquid (II), and of treating the obtained liquid (II) in a treatment tank to decrease the amount of extracted total organic carbon and an extracted alkali value. The method is characterized in that a colorant is added in a desired stage and that a toner having ≤500 ppm extracted total organic carbon content and ≤0.5 mKOH/g extracted alkali value is manufactured.
