PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an emboss roll in which a metallic thin plate material is processed by an upper and a lower metal roll to form convexoconcave on its decorative surface, and to provide an emboss roll manufactured by the method.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a metallic emboss roll 1 and the metallic emboss roll 1, the metallic emboss roll 1 is formed by the steps of performing processing with process data, and performing etching on a decorative surface of a processed emboss roll.
