Abstract:
To improve high-temperature strength of a bevel part with a single titanium alloy.
A diametrally expanded part 9b at a temperature exceeding a β transformation point is formed at one end of a shaft-like blank consisting of an α+β phase or near α phase titanium alloy constituting an equiaxial αstructure and thereafter the diametrally expanded part 9b is immediately subjected to hot forging, by which the bevel part 2' of an acicular α structure is formed at the one end of the shaft part.
