Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an exhaust gas filter that can reduce the number of fine particles included in exhaust gas, and can suppress an increase in pressure loss in an exhaust system, in the present invention.SOLUTION: The method includes: preparing a honeycomb structure 1 including an introduction cell 11 into which exhaust gas is introduced, and an exhaust cell 13 that is adjacent to the introduction cell 11 via a porous rib 12 including pores through which the exhaust gas passes, and intended to exhaust the exhaust gas; and allowing catalyst particles to adhere to the porous rib 12. In the exhaust gas filter, the catalyst particles are composite particles that include supports and catalytically active species supported on the supports, and the particle diameters Dof the supports of the catalyst particles at a cumulative distribution of 90 vol.% are 0.7 time or more and 1.3 times or less the average pore diameter of the pores of the porous rib 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
