Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing an eyeglass polarizing plastic lens, which method ensures flexibility in mold assembly and achieves high quality independent of accuracy in shaping a polarizing film.

A method of manufacturing an eyeglass polarizing plastic lens includes steps of: providing a component 20 having plasticity so as to protrude from at least either a periphery of an inner surface of a first lens mold 16 or a periphery of a polarizing film 14; bringing the component 20 into contact with the inner surface of the first lens mold 16 and the polarizing film 14 and fixing the component 20 with a certain amount of space provided between the inner surface of the first lens mold 16 and the polarizing film 14, so as to fix the polarizing film 14 to the inner surface of the first lens mold 16.
