Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure having little deformation at honeycomb joint parts and a high aspect ratio.

A method for manufacturing a fine hollow body includes the steps of: bringing a thin film layer 30 plastically deformable in a predetermined condition into close contact with a template 25 having a plurality of recesses; inflating the thin film layer 30 by a gas pressure of a space defined between the recesses and the thin film layer 30 to form a plurality of partition walls 35 in a constant direction to harden a hollow body constituted of the plurality of partition walls 35 and a ceiling 30B for combining each of the partition walls; removing the ceiling 30B; applying a reinforcement material to hold spaces between the partition walls 35 of the hollow body from which the ceiling 30B is removed; and newly crimping a thin film layer 80 to the side where the ceiling 30B of the hollow body is removed, to form a hollow body (partition wall) again.
