To provide a method of manufacturing a fixing belt in which high adhesive strength between a belt base material and a coating layer can easily be obtained.
The method includes the stages of: making a belt base material 12 and a core 14 with a circular cross section into a work to be processed by fitting the core 14 inside the belt base material 12 in contact; rotating the belt base material 12 by rotating the core 14; modifying an external surface of the belt base material 12 by performing corona discharge between with rod-shaped electrodes 16 disposed at a predetermined interval along the belt base material 12 while using the core 14 as a ground electrode; and bonding the belt base material 12 and a coating layer covering the outer periphery thereof together.
