Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a flexible metal foil laminated plate which has a necessary and sufficient adhesion strength at the boundary face between a metal foil and an insulating layer and is excellent in heat resistance, chemical resistance and electric characteristics.

In the method for manufacturing the flexible metal foil laminated plate having a polyimide layer between two metal foil layers, the polyimide layer is composed of a three-layer structured polyimide laminate including a thermoplastic polyimide formed on both the sides of polyimide film, and the flexible metal foil laminated plate is manufactured by overlapping the metal foils on both the sides of the polyimid laminate, and pressing under an elevated temperature. The thickness of the thermoplastic polyimide is 100% or greater than a ten-point average roughness of the surface of the metal foil contacting it.
