Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a fuel cell stack capable of downsizing manufacturing facilities.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a fuel cell stack includes steps of: laminating on a pallet a first end plate 2, a cell laminate 6, and a second end plate 5 in this order; and applying a fastening load to the cell laminate in a lamination direction via the first and second end plates. The first end plate has a plurality of through-holes in a region not opposed to the cell laminate. On the first end plate, a plurality of shaft members 3 are arranged so as to penetrate through the through-holes. The second end plate is arranged while being positioned with the through-holes. At the lamination step, a fastening machine 20 comprising a shaft member positioning unit 10 is prepared. The unit has a lamination component in which two holding components having the same shape are laminated, each holding component comprising notches capable of holding the shaft members. Movement of the fastening machine, sliding of the holding components, and movement of the shaft member positioning unit allow the shaft members to be inserted into through-holes 31 of the second end plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
