Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a garnet type solid electrolyte sintered compact for an all-solid lithium ion battery, which can show a high ion conductivity without performing a sintering process at a high temperature (1000-1200°C).SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a garnet type solid electrolyte sintered compact for an all-solid lithium ion battery, which is represented by the composition formula, Li7-3x+αLa3Zr2AlxO12-yLi3BO3 (where 0≤x<2, 1.1<(7-3x+α)/(7-3x)≤1.5 and 0.3≤y≤2.0) comprises: a pulverizing step of pulverizing calcination powder of a material represented by the composition formula, Li7-3x+αLa3Zr2AlxO12 so as to make an average particle diameter D50 1-10 μm; a sintering assistant-adding step of adding a lithium borate which makes a sintering assistant to powder thus pulverized; and a sintering step of performing a discharge-plasma sintering process on a solid electrolyte after addition of the sintering assistant in a range of 800°C or higher and below 1000°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
