Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a gear with reduced manufacturing cycle time and raw material consumption and also improved holding pressure.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a gear involves a step of manufacturing a rim on a radial outer peripheral edge (22) of a carrier core (2); in this step, the carrier core (2) extends from a radial inner wall (21) forming a steering shaft (XX') hole corresponding to a rotation axis of the gear so as to be arranged in a metal mold (3) whose outer peripheral edge (22) is formed with at least one first part (31) and at least one second part (32); then, by at least partially overmolding the carrier core (2), an injection material is injected from at least one injection nozzle (4) to form a rim in a manner of coating. After injecting the injection material, the first part (31) and the second part (32) of the metal mold (3) are made close to each other so that the injection material is compressed in the metal mold (3).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
