Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a glass fiber connected body having excellent tensile strength even in a structure connected without using an adhesive.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a glass fiber connected body 1 that comprises: a first glass fiber strand 2 containing a coating deposited on a plurality of first glass fiber filaments; a second glass fiber strand 3 containing a coating deposited on a plurality of second glass fiber filaments; and a connecting portion 4 in which the first glass fiber strand 2 and the second glass fiber strand 3 are connected and the first glass fiber filament and the second glass fiber filament are contained, comprises a step of heating at least one of one end portions 2b of the first glass fiber strand 2 and at least one end portion 3a of the second glass fiber strand; and after the heating step, a connecting step of forming a connected portion 4 by spraying gas to one end portion 2b of the first glass fiber strand 2 and one end portion 3a of the second glass fiber strand 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
