To provide a method for manufacturing a golf club shaft allowing a complicated shape to be manufactured with a fiber sheet material, characteristics thereof to be uniform, product efficiency to be increased and costs to be decreased.
A center shaft 30, a bag shaped object 26 and a fiber sheet 40 are put into a mold 42. The mold is provided with a mold hole 44. The mold hole has a horizontal cross section consisting of different levels decreasing from a first end 441 toward a second end 442 and an opening 444 having a diameter thereof being approximately the same size of a neck 33 of the center shaft 30, where the neck 33 and the bag shaped object 26 are put in. The second end 442 is provided with a recess 446 along the long shaft and constituted to be put into a second end 332 of a body part 32 of the center shaft and a layer of the bag shaped object 26. A prearranged position of the body part is the middle of the mold, and the fiber sheet surrounding the surface of the center shaft may have a predetermined distance to an interior edge of the mold hole. When the mold is heated and air at a specified pressure is introduced from a shaft hole 36, a thermosetting resin of the fiber sheet is thermoset, allowing the mold hole to be supplemented each other.
