Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method for solving the problem of inferior secondary recrystallization due to coarsening of an inhibitor in edge parts in the width direction by an industrially stable means without using any particular apparatus.

A grain-oriented silicon steel slab is hot-rolled. The hot-rolled plate is subjected to hot-rolled plate annealing and then cold-rolled two or more times while process-annealed in cold rolling steps into a cold rolled sheet of a final sheet thickness. After decarburizing annealing in wet hydrogen, a separation agent at annealing composed essentially of MgO is applied to the sheet and finish annealing is performed, by which the grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet is manufactured. In this manufacturing process, the cold rolling after the process annealing is finished while regulating draft so that it is lower in the edge parts than in the central part in the sheet-width direction.
