To provide a grain oriented magnetic steel sheet with a high magnetic flux density by concentrating the orientation of secondary-recrystallized grains.
The method comprises stacking steel sheets so as to form a small gap between them, and isothermally annealing them, when annealing the steel sheet produced by smelting a steel containing 2-7 mass% Si, and casting, heating, then hot-rolling and cold-rolling it, for secondary-recrystallizing grains to convert the steel sheet into the grain oriented magnetic steel sheet. Then, the method forms the gradient of an atmosphere in the gap, thereby forms the gradient of an inhibitor in the steel sheet, promotes the unidirectional growth of secondary-recrystallized grains, and enhances the concentration degree of the orientation, to manufacture the grain oriented magnetic steel sheet with the superhigh magnetic flux density.
