Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a heat insulation layer having satisfactory gasoline resistance and heat resistance can be formed on the surface of an engine combustion chamber member in a short time.SOLUTION: A silicone resin film is formed on the surface of an iron-based alloy member that faces an engine combustion chamber. The silicone resin film is subjected to a first firing at 170-200°C for 5-20 hours. Thereafter, the silicone resin film is subjected to a second firing at 250-350°C for 0.5-3 hours.
