Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a high purity nanometer scale carbon tube-containing carbonaceous material is manufactured with a simple operation without using a solvent or other chemicals and the fear of the breaking or modification of the nanometer scale carbon tube is made small.
SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the high purity nanometer scale carbon tube-containing carbonaceous material includes (I) a process for depositing impurities contained in a raw nanometer scale carbon tube-containing carbonaceous material on the surface of an electrostatic charged base material by bringing the raw nanometer scale carbon tube into contact with the base material or allowing the raw nanometer scale carbon tube-containing carbonaceous material to approach the base material and (II) a process for recovering the high purity nanometer scale carbon tube-containing carbonaceous material which is not deposited on the surface of the base material.
