Abstract:

To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet having a beautiful surface appearance and excellent plating adhesion at low cost even if the amount of Si in steel is ≥0.2 mass% when manufacturing the hot-dip galvanized steel sheet by executing the hot-dip galvanizing after executing the annealing in a continuous annealing furnace having a direct-fired heating furnace.

In the method for manufacturing the hot-dip galvanized steel sheet to be subjected to the hot-dip galvanizing after annealing the steel sheet containing ≥0.2 mass% Si in a continuous annealing furnace having a direct-fired heating furnace, a gas having the oxidizing effect to the steel sheet is blown to a center portion of the steel sheet to promote oxidation of the center portion of the steel sheet in the direct-fired heating furnace.
