To provide a method for manufacturing a hot dip metal coated steel sheet capable of stably and rapidly cooling a steel sheet by suppressing the vibration of the steel sheet or straightening a C camber or performing both thereof at the time of gas cooling the steel sheet after plating in a manufacturing process for the metal hot dip coated steel sheet.
The method for manufacturing the hot dip metal coated steel sheet by continuously immersing the steel sheet into a hot dip metal coating bath, then pulling up the steel sheet from the hot dip metal coating bath and adjusting the coating plating weight on the steel sheet surface, then cooling the steel sheet in a cooling zone comprises providing the cooling zone with gas cooling means equipped with three or more nozzles for jetting gas alternately facing the surface on the front surface and the surface on the rear side of the steel sheet and performing at least either of the vibration suppression and profile straightening by the jets spouted from the nozzles toward the steel sheet in the positions offset in the longitudinal direction of the steel sheet and simultaneously rapidly cooling the steel sheet.
