Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an image display device enabling work of adhesion between an image display unit and a housing to be completed in a sufficiently short time, thereby greatly contributing to productivity improvement.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an image display device comprising: an image display unit including a transparent cover having a non-translucent peripheral portion and an image display module laminated on the transparent cover; and a housing for housing the image display unit, the housing having an overhang portion facing the peripheral portion of the transparent cover inside. The manufacturing method includes the steps of: supplying photocurable resin composition onto the overhang portion of the housing; combining the housing and the image display unit such that the overhang portion of the housing faces the peripheral portion of the transparent cover through the photocurable resin composition; and irradiating the photocurable resin composition with light from a gap between the housing and the transparent cover.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
