To provide a method for manufacturing and inspecting a photocatalytic body by which the thickness of a coating layer or the occurrence of coating unevenness is easily checked in the application of a photocatalytic component on a white base material to efficiently prevent the occurrence of defective.
The method for manufacturing the photocatalytic body is performed by uniformly dispersing one or more kinds of carbon powder selected from carbon black, activated carbon powder and graphite in photocatalyst component slurry containing titanium oxide in the manufacture of the photocatalytic body by applying the slurry on the white base material and firing to form the coating layer. The method for inspecting the photocatalytic body is performed by detecting the difference of the color tone of the coating layer to inspect the thickness of the photocatalyst layer or the unevenness of the thickness in the manufacture of the photocatalytic body.
