CONSTITUTION: A base material of an interior finishing material of an automobile, etc., having rigidity is obtained by the steps of pulverizing a scrap of an interior finishing material of a trunk of the automobile containing high and low melting point fibers or the fibers as main components, charging the pulverized materials in a heating mold set to a temperature which melts the low melting point material but does not melt the high melting point fiber, and then pressurizing it.
