Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a joint pipe by which a joint pipe comprising a flange-like bead part formed on an outer periphery of a shell can be manufactured more easily and suitably than a conventional one.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a joint pipe which has a compression process in which at least a portion of a shell 10 in an axis length direction is compressed in the axis length direction thereby forming flange-like bead part 11 on an outer periphery of the shell 10, and by which a joint pipe 1 on the shell of which at least one bead part 11 is formed is manufactured. The method has a tube expansion process, in which tube expansion processing is performed on the shell 10 by use of a tube expansion device B thereby forming an expansion part 11a expanded outward in a radial direction on the shell 10, before the compression process. In the compression process, the expansion part 11a is compressed in the axis length direction of the shell 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
