To lengthen the service life of a laminate mold by uniformly applying a coating material to a laminate mold formed of a plurality of stacked gears while suppressing the number of working steps and by applying the coating material.
A plurality of gears 12 forming a laminate mold 10 are assembled so that every tooth tips 14a and tooth bottoms 14b are alternately arranged in an axial direction ad, and teeth 14 of the plurality of gears 12 are exposed. A coating material is applied to such an assembled laminate mold 10, so that a coating material can be uniformly applied without producing a difference in film thickness of the coating material at each of portions of the teeth 14 of the gear 12. Furthermore, in such a condition that the plurality of gears 12 are assembled, masking work to the reference surface of the gear 12 is unnecessary and the number of working steps is suppressed. In addition, the coating material is applied to lengthen the service life of the laminate mold 10.
