To provide a method for manufacturing a longitudinal pillow package with a flute capable of continuously mass producing a package with the flute which allows a stable self-supportability and a tight packaging state to be felt, by suspending the flute from a peripheral edge of a bottom and concealing the bottom.
The method for manufacturing the longitudinal pillow package with the flute comprises the steps of feeding a packing material P from a raw fabric roll, forming the flute (h) so as to become an arraying pitch of a required size, then engaging the material F with the flute h with a former 10, bending a filling cylinder 11 of the material to be packed through an inside of the former in a cylindrical state for substantially winding one turn, continuously sealing both edges of the packing material, suspending a packing cylinder H down of the cylinder 11, then heat sealing a position separated as prescribed from the flute (h) of the packing cylinder H under the cylinder 11 by two stripes by two stripes of heat sealers, cutting to separate the bags between the heat seals of the two stripes, and setting upside down the separated packages P to the longitudinal pillow package of a self-supportable square bottom bag of a state in which the flute (h) conceals the bottom by suspending the flute (h) to the substantially peripheral edge of the bottom.
