Abstract:
To obtain a grain oriented magnetic steel sheet excellent in film properties and magnetic properties over the entire length of a coil even if a rotary kiln burned product is used as magnesia for an annealing separating agent.
As magnesia for the annealing separating agent, a mixture of magnesia of two kinds or more burning magnesium hydroxide by direct fire or indirect-type rotary kiln in a final stage is used. Among these, at least one kind of magnesia is compounded with those of 10 mass% or more having a BET specific surface area of 36 to 50 m2/g, a Cl concentration of impurities of 0.02 to 0.04%, a CAA40% of 35 to 65 seconds and a CAA80% of 80 to 160 seconds. Also, average properties of magnesia including a mixture of two kinds or more satisfy a BET specific surface area of 20 to 35 m2/g, a Cl concentration of impurities of 0.01 to 0.04%, a CaO concentration of 0.25 to 0.70%, a B concentration of 0.05 to 0.15%, an SO3concentration of 0.05 to 0.50%, a CAA40% of 55 to 85 seconds, a CAA80% of 100 to 250 seconds and the amount of hydration of 1.5 to 3.5 mass% by hydration test at 20°C for 60 minutes.
