Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to conceal scratch or dirt on an exterior surface of a metal container and to obtain specular gloss of a high brightness.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a metal container having specular gloss by which at least a first base printing coating 2 process, a second base printing coating 3 process, a printing 4 process and a top coat varnish 5 coating process are performed on an exterior surface of a bottomed cylindrical metal container made by an impact processing, (1) a coating material coated in the first base printing coating 2 process comprises a polyester resin-based or an acrylic resin-based coating material having a white color which contains a titanium oxide pigment, (2) a coating material coated in the second base printing coating 3 process comprises a polyester resin-based or an acrylic resin-based coating material having a silver color which contains aluminum powders having a particle diameter of 3 to 7 μm, and when a coating film is formed, surface treatment is so performed that aluminum powders are arranged in parallel to one another on a surface of the coating film and the coating film has a thickness of 2 to 5 μm.
