Abstract:
To reduce distortion due to a heat treatment and to shorten the heat treatment time of a circular metal workpiece such as a ring member.SOLUTION: A metal workpiece 100 formed in a circular shape and a heater unit 6 for radiating heat toward a predetermined main radiation direction D2 are opposed to each other. Further, the workpiece 100 is disposed such that an inferior angle θ1 between an axial direction D1 and the main radiation direction D2 of the workpiece 100 is 45° or less (including zero). The heater unit 6 is used to heat the workpiece 100. A holder 2 supports the workpiece 100 from underneath.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
