Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing a metal sulfide, using a simple starting raw material and in which the production of impurities is suppressed, at a low cost with high yield.

As the starting raw material, at least one of oxide of elements (metal oxide) selected from a group comprising Cu, Ni, Fe, Co, Zn, Ag, Cd, Sb, Ga, In, Sn, Ge, Pb, Bi, Ru, Ti, Al, Cr, Mn, Ir, V, rare earth elements, Zr, Hf, Ta, Nb, Tl, Re, W, As, Si, Mo and the like or at least one metal element selected from a group comprising Ni, Fe, Co, Zn, Ag, Cd, Sb, Ga, In, Sn, Ge, Pb, Bi, Ru, Ti, Al, Cr, Ir, V, rare earth elements, Rh, Pd, Pt, Os, Au, Tl, Re, W, Hg, As, Si and Mo and a sulfur raw material are used. The metal sulfide is obtained by reacting the starting raw materials with each other under a hydrothermal reaction condition or solvothermal reaction condition.
