Abstract:
To provide an inexpensive nano material excellent in mass-productivity and to provide its manufacturing method.
Oxide powder of metal M1 is mixed with powder containing an element M2 having the standard free energy of formation of an oxide which satisfies the relation of ΔGM1-O>ΔGM2-O. The mixture powder is heat treated in a nonoxidative atmosphere to produce a micro body comprising at least one of an oxide of M2 or a nitride of M2. The diameter r and the length L in the longitudinal direction of the micro body preferably satisfy r/L≤0.2.
