To provide a technology for efficiently manufacturing a high quality molten kraft pulp from a coniferous tree material.
A molten kraft pulp is manufactured by processes including (a) a process of hydrolyzing hemicellulose part contained in a wood chip by adding water to conifer wood chips, (b) a process of collecting the wood chips by washing the treated conifer wood chips, (c) a process of manufacturing a pulp by a craft digestion of the collected conifer wood chips, and (d) a process of applying an oxygen delignification treatment to the kraft digested pulp, and the high quality molten kraft pulp is obtained by adjusting a viscosity after the kraft digestion (measured according to Tappi testing method T230om-89) to 9 to 16 cps, and the viscosity after the oxygen delignification to 9 to 12 cps.
