Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that secures safety.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes the processes of: preparing a positive electrode which has a positive-electrode exposure part, formed by exposing a positive-electrode collector from a positive-electrode mixture layer, at one width-directional end and a negative electrode which has a negative-electrode exposure part, formed by exposing a negative-electrode collector, at one width-directional end; forming a non-woven fabric layer by an electro-spinning method, in at least one of a part adjoining the positive-electrode part on the positive-electrode mixture layer and a part adjoining the negative-electrode part on the negative-electrode mixture layer; and forming an electrode body by arranging a separator between the positive-electrode mixture layer and negative-electrode mixture layer and arranging a positive electrode, the separator, and a negative electrode so that the positive-electrode part and negative-electrode part project from the separator in opposite directions along a width of the positive electrode.
