To provide a method for manufacturing an olefin derivative capable of improving the yield and manufacturing efficiency.
The method of the present invention for manufacturing an olefin derivative comprises: a first step of synthesizing a carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid ester by reacting an olefin with an alcohol and carbon monoxide within a reaction vessel in the presence of a palladium catalyst and an oxidant; a second step of separating, following the evacuation of at least a portion of the gas within the reaction vessel out of the reaction vessel during the first step, carbon monoxide from the evacuated gas; and a third step of feeding, into the reaction vessel during the first step, the carbon monoxide separated from the gas at the second step.
