Abstract:
To provide an open type drum can capable of realizing a weight saving and a reduction in material cost while improving a pressure resistance and a drainage property of a barrel curl and a hood sealability.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an open type drum can 1, comprising a body 2 having a barrel curl 14 at the upper end edge, and a barrel flange 15 at the lower end edge, a ground plate 4 being seamed on the barrel flange 15, and an opening/closing hood 8 being mounted on the barrel curl 14, includes an uncoiling step (S1), a leveling step (S2), a shearing step (S3), a transportation step (S4) of transporting barrel plates SP, a forming step (S6), a welding step (S7), a curl molding step (S8), and a chemical conversion treatment step (S8), where the curl molding step (S8) further includes a hole opening step (S5) of forming an arc overlapping part 38 in the barrel curl 14, thereby forming an exhaust hole 44 at a formation planed position of a lower arc part 14b of the barrel curl 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
