Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing an optical component with superior optical properties, which allows for protecting a half mirror layer during and after manufacture.SOLUTION: An optical component manufacturing method of the present invention is for an optical component comprising: a light-transmissive lens layer; and an optical laminate comprising light-transmissive first and second base materials, and a half mirror layer located between the two base materials and designed to transmit a portion of incident light and reflect the rest. The method comprises: a half mirror layer formation step of laminating the half mirror layer on the first base material; a first bonding step of bonding the second base material onto a surface of the half mirror layer on a side opposite the first base material; and a second bonding step of melting a resin material forming the lens layer and bonding the same to the second base material on a side opposite the half mirror layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
