Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing an optical laminate with superior optical properties, which allows for protecting a half mirror layer during and after manufacture.SOLUTION: An optical laminate manufacturing method of the present invention is for an optical laminate comprising: a light-transmissive first base material; a half mirror layer laminated on the first base material and designed to transmit a portion of incident light and reflect the rest; a light-transmissive second base material provided on the half mirror layer on a side opposite the first base material; and a light-transmissive adhesive layer provided between the half mirror layer and the second base material to join the half mirror layer and the second base material together. The method comprises providing a first protective layer on a surface of the first base material on a side opposite the half mirror layer, providing a second protective layer on a surface of the second base material on a side opposite the adhesive layer, and then cutting out the optical laminate by applying a blade thereto in a thickness direction thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
