To provide a method for manufacturing of an organic electroluminescent device and an organic electroluminescent device, wherein an adhesive leaking out of a frame-shaped sealing material is prevented, and furthermore, the nonconformity where inconvenience occurs due to the fact that an inorganic sealing layer is damaged by a gap material.
This method for manufacturing of the organic electroluminescent device is equipped with a process of forming a sealing part 35 by forming a sealing layer surrounding a display region 4 or a region corresponding to this by an organic material which does not contain a gap material in one or both of an element substrate 20 and a sealing substrate 30, arranged opposed to the element substrate 20, and by curing the sealing layer; a process of arranging the liquid adhesive at the region surrounded by the sealing part 35 or a site, corresponding to this of the inner face of the element substrate 20 or of the inner face of the sealing substrate 30; an adhering process of making the inner face of the element substrate 20 and the inner face of the sealing substrate 30 face; and of pasting the element substrate 20 and the sealing substrate 30 via the adhesive.
