In a process to orient the cellulose acylated film released from a support in a width direction by holding the width end part of the film, the orientation ratio (expansion ratio×100/maximum expansion ratio) is adjusted in accordance with a solvent residue of the cellulose acylated film. Also, the oriented cellulose acylated film is provided.
