Abstract:

To provide a method of manufacturing an osmium supported catalyst composition which can be recovered and reused after reaction.

The method of manufacturing the osmium supported catalyst composition comprises committing an osmium carrying polymer for a cross-linking reaction (I) after allowing a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (1) a styrene monomer and (2) a monomer containing an aromatic group having an epoxy group and polymerizable double bond and a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (1) a styrene monomer and (2) a monomer containing a hydrophilic group of a specific structure to support an osmium catalyst and mixing, or (II) after allowing a mixture of a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (1) a styrene monomer and (2) a monomer containing an aromatic group having an epoxy group and polymerizable double bond and a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (1) a styrene monomer and (2) a monomer containing a hydrophilic group of a specific structure to support an osmium catalyst.
