Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing an oxide having a NaCl type crystal structure highly oriented in the <111> direction in the cubic system expression.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the oxide, which has the NaCl type crystal structure and is expressed by general formula MxAyOz (wherein M is a transition metal element; A is an alkali metal element; O is oxygen; x is 0<x<1y is 0≤y<1 z is 0<z<1 while x+y+z=1) and which is oriented in the <111> direction in the cubic system expression, comprises a heat treatment of an oxide which is expressed by general formula MoApOq (wherein M is a transition metal element; A is an alkali metal element; O is oxygen; 0<o<1 0<p<1 0<q<1 while o+p+q=1), which has a hexagonal or trigonal crystal structure and which is oriented in the <001> direction in the hexagonal system expression.
