To provide a method for manufacturing a package for in-bright-room loading for enhancing production efficiency by stably taking up a terminal of a light shielding leader onto the outer peripheral surface of a photosensitive roll material without the aid of manpower.
Light shielding and packaging of the photosensitive roll material formed by disposing a wide and long-sized photosensitive material to be wound around a core are performed by; providing both ends of the photosensitive material with flange members projecting from the outer periphery of the photosensitive roll material; joining the front end of the photosensitive roll material and the front end of the light shielding leader broader than the width of the photosensitive roll material; winding the specified length of the light shielding leader around the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive roll material while coating the peripheral edges of the flange members with the light shielding leader; then cutting the light shielding leader; controlling the position of the terminal end of the cut light shielding leader by a position controlling means; and winding the terminal of the light shielding leader around the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive roll material, while coating the peripheral edges of the flange members with both ends of the terminal.
