To provide a method for manufacturing a panel member, which enables a second plate member to be easily superposed on a first plate member, and which can improve appearance quality of the panel member by inhibiting lift of a base of a flange portion of the first plate member.
The method includes: a first step of forming the first flange porion 26, which contains a first region 54 rising from an outer panel body 52 and a second region 56 bent to the outside of the first region 54 from a leading end of the first region 54, at the edge of the outer panel 12; a second step of superposing an inner panel 14 on the outer panel 12 in which the first flange portion 26 is formed; a third step of pushing the second region 56 inward, which is performed after the second step; and a fourth step of fastening the edges of the outer and inner panels 12 and 14 together by curl-forming the first flange portion 26, which is performed after the third step.
