Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a mini-pellet made of acrylic resin composition requiring no drying process and causing few cutting mistakes.

The method is for manufacturing a pellet in which the diameter is ≥0.4 mm and ≤1 mm from the acrylic resin composition melt and kneaded by an extruder. Strands discharged from a die are made to contact at least cooling water. The time of contacting the cooling water is equal to or shorter than 0.2 second, temperature of the cooling water is ≥20°C and ≤80°C, subtracting glass transfer temperature from resin temperature of the strands discharged from the die results in equal to or lower than 120°C, and the number of guide roll grooves from the die to a dripping device is equal to or larger than the number of the strands.
