The method for manufacturing a peripheral wall for a paper cover comprises a first step of cutting or punching a wide cardboard 1 having a peripheral wall length L of its one side from base paper P, a second step of cutting substantially 1/2 of a thickness t of the cardboard at a front side one edge 1a and a rear side another edge 1b perpendicularly crossed with one side of the cardboard 1 to provide a front side thin part 2 at the edge 1a and a rear side thin part 3 at the edge 1b, a third step of cutting or punching a band-like cardboard 4 of a peripheral wall width S from the cardboard 1 perpendicularly to a longitudinal direction of corrugating working to dispose the cardboard 4 at one end side of the longitudinal direction and the part 3 at the another end side, and a four step of bending the cardboard 4 of the longitudinal direction in a circular shape to superpose the part 2 of the one end side with the part 3 of the another side with one another and adhering the part 2 to the part 3.
