To prevent a foaming resin composition from being effused to an outside of a face material, and to surely solve thereby a problem wherein the foaming resin composition deposited on a belt to make an obtained foam difficultly separated from the belt, and wherein continuous productivity is impaired therein.
This phenol resin foam is manufactured by delivering continuously the foaming resin composition containing a phenol resin, a foaming agent, a curing agent, and a surfactant, on the moving belt, to be foamed and cured. One side face in an at least belt side of the foaming resin composition is foamed and cured under a state coated by the face material. The face material used therein is a synthetic fiber unwoven cloth having 0.5-4 denier of fiber diameter, 80-160 g/m2 of METSUKE, and 300-600 m of thickness.
