To print a label to be stuck to a cartridge case with an ID number and photographable number of sheets within a process step for manufacturing a photographic film cartridge.
An IC memory is built into the cartridge case by an IC memory assembling device 18 and the film information such as ID number and photographable number of sheets is written into the IC memory by an ID number writing device 22 in an assembling process step of the cartridge case. The ID number and film information are read out of the IC memory and are recorded to a photographic film strip and the photographic film strip is wound into the cartridge case in a winding process step. The ID number and the film information are read from the IC memory by a second ID number reading device 24 in an ID number preventing process step. The label is printed with the read ID number and film information by an ID number printing device 26.
