To provide a method in which more various kinds of photographic image transfer objects including three-dimensional shaped articles can be manufactured by using various photosensitive materials including commercial photographic printing paper after relaxing the restriction that a substrate of a photosensitive material must have heat resistance.

The method of manufacturing a photographic image transfer object includes: a step of exposing at least a part of the photosensitive material obtained by coating photographic emulsion containing a silver halide particle and gelatin on a combustible base material; a step of depositing metal microparticles on the exposed portion of the photosensitive material; a step of sticking the photosensitive material to a heat resistant substrate; and a step of combusting and removing the photosensitive material.
