To provide a new method for manufacturing a pillow which is called as a 'dikin' method which is a new knitting technology for easily manufacturing the pillow.

This new method for manufacturing a pillow which is a new knitting technology called as the 'dikin' method is provided. A guide core made of a wisteria vine is made to crawl on the outer periphery of a pillow mold and a standing-up width is arranged there. A transverse core is knitted by passing through the standing-up width. Interstices are made by removing the guide core. Knitting is continued by filling the interstices until a trunk for a pillow case is completed. The pillow case is taken out from the pillow mold and the width is knitted to prepare edges and to prepare a pillow case with opened upper and lower ends. After an article with cushioning properties is placed in this pillow case, the upper and lower edges are respectively gathered and the upper and lower openings of the pillow case are sewn and closed with nylon strings.
